CLUB 5 REGATTA

From 5–9 August 2026, Sandhamn hosts one of the most exclusive and exciting international sailing competitions in Scandinavia – the 5-Club Regatta & The Atlantic Round. The tournament brings together teams from five of the most prestigious sailing clubs around the Atlantic to compete in fast and technical sprint sailing using provided J/70 boats.

The concept of provided boats is thoughtful and elegant: all participants sail in identically equipped J/70 dinghies, meaning that it is sailing technique, tactics and crew synergy – not equipment – that decides the winner. This creates a clean and thrilling race where the skills of the finest sailors are truly put to the test in the challenging waters of the archipelago.

The regatta is a collaboration between five of the world’s finest sailing clubs, and Sandhamn and KSSS are proud hosts of this international event. During the event days, Sandhamn’s harbour fills with crews from around the world, international camaraderie and a festive atmosphere that only a truly major regatta can create.
