The menu in Segelsalen is shaped by both our guests’ wishes and Sandhamn’s history. You’ll find dishes rooted in Swedish home cooking, such as meatballs, cured salmon, and grilled meats. Everything is prepared from scratch, using seasonal ingredients and, whenever possible, local producers. We bake our own bread, make our sauces by hand, and let the flavours speak for themselves.

Welcome to the Bistro – the heart and living room of the hotel, where the atmosphere is as relaxed as the view is beautiful. Here, guests, sailors and locals meet over good food and drinks – from long, lazy lunches in the sun to late summer evenings by the sea.
The menu reflects the spirit of the archipelago: well-crafted dishes inspired by the sea and the Swedish summer. You’ll find timeless classics, seasonal favourites and grilled dishes made for sharing – always prepared with care, flavour and heart.
In your glass, you’ll find a mix of crisp wines, local brews and summery cocktails, all carefully selected to complement both the food and the setting.
Whether you stop by for a drink after the sauna, a spontaneous dinner or just to pause for a moment, the Bistro is where the day continues at an easy pace – where the sea, the scents and the sounds blend into something truly unique.











The Orangerie is our light-filled, green oasis on the west side of the hotel, a place to sit among lush plants, feel the sea breeze and watch the sun set over Sandhamn.
During the summer, the Wine Bar moves into the Orangerie, turning it into a lively meeting place with flavours and influences from around the world. The menu is created by Head Chef Thomas Omfors together with sommelier Joakim Fagerström, with a focus on small plates to share and wines carefully selected from both classic regions and smaller producers.
During the rest of the year, the Orangerie is used for selected occasions and events, such as grill evenings, wine tastings and seasonal dinners. Chef’s Table is also hosted here, offering an intimate dining experience where the kitchen takes centre stage. While the Orangerie is mainly open during the summer season, it continues to come alive throughout the year through carefully curated events. At any time of year, it invites moments where food, wine, community and setting come together.

Enjoy classics like scrambled eggs and bacon, freshly baked bread, seasonal fruit and yogurt, along with juices, tea and truly good coffee. During summer, you can take your breakfast out onto the terrace and let the morning sun warm your face, while autumn and winter invite you to slower mornings indoors, with the sea as your backdrop.
