From 6–8 August 2026, the historic Sandhamnsregattan returns – one of the true highlights of summer in the Stockholm archipelago. Over three days, some of Sweden’s most beautiful and storied classic sailing yachts, several over a century old, gather to measure their mettle on the waters off Sandhamn.
Sandhamnsregattan is a living tribute to the history of sailing and the art of craftsmanship. The Classic Yachts (SRS) class presents a sight that is hard to surpass – gleaming wooden hulls, elegant lines and full sails catching the wind exactly as they did a century ago. It is a regatta that is as much about feeling and tradition as it is about racing and victory.

The race courses off Sandhamn offer a dramatic and striking setting. With the rugged archipelago as a backdrop and winds sweeping in from the open sea, crews set out on a race that challenges both technical skill and a deep feel for the unique character of these classic vessels.
Navigating a classic yacht in the waters around Sandhamn is an art in itself – and it is precisely this that makes the regatta so unique.
Beyond the racing, the weekend offers archipelago dining and regatta dinners at the hotel, bringing together participants and guests, along with a vibrant social atmosphere across Sandhamn.
Welcome to experience an unforgettable regatta weekend where past meets present, in the heart of Swedish sailing.
