Fishing Guiding

With years of experience, our guides know how to find the best waters each day in search of the perfect catch. They provide boats, fishing equipment, warm flotation suits, and of course, assist with technique – all to help ensure your success. We bring coffee and snacks on board, and for full-day trips, lunch is also included.

In the archipelago around Sandhamn, the most commonly targeted fish species include:

  1. Northern Pike (Gädda) – One of the most common predatory fish in the area. Especially active in shallower waters during spring and autumn.
  2. Perch (Abborre) – Abundant in the region, can be caught both from boat and shore. Often caught using jigs or spinners.
  3. Zander (Gös) – More active in the evenings and at night, prefers deeper waters and areas around underwater structures. The zander population has been growing stronger in recent years.
  4. Sea Trout (Havsöring) – Found in certain parts of the outer archipelago, especially in early spring and late autumn. Requires more patience but can yield great rewards.
  5. Baltic Herring (Strömming) – Mostly fished during spring and early summer, often with hand lines or sabiki rigs. A classic catch in the Stockholm archipelago.
  6. Cod (Torsk) – Occasionally found in the outer archipelago, though not as common as before. Cod fishing is heavily regulated.
